ComPar-Poesia Cultural Project: A Global Celebration of Poetry and Connection

The ComPar-Poesia Cultural Project, a visionary initiative by Mário Belolli, was launched on September 2, 2012, with the purpose of promoting and disseminating poetic culture on a global scale. Rooted in the rich traditions of past and present romanticism, the project serves as a meaningful platform for both seasoned and aspiring poets to find their voices and share their words. Through ComPar-Poesia, poetry becomes not only an art form but a bridge connecting diverse cultures, languages, and experiences.

A Diverse Community of Poetic Voices

One of the project’s most remarkable features is its *inclusive, international reach. As of today, ComPar-Poesia boasts the participation of 350 women from across all 27 Brazilian states, including the Federal District, as well as poets from over 50 countries spanning five continents. This incredible diversity brings a wealth of perspectives to the project, enriching the poetic dialogue and highlighting the universal language of poetry as a unifying force.

Structured Growth and the ComPar-Poesia Poetic Anthology

The project is structured over a five-year timeline, divided into ten semiannual stages. Each stage culminates in the publication of a unique issue of the ComPar-Poesia Poetic Anthology. In each issue, every participant contributes a poem on a theme of their choosing, creating a collection that reflects the wide range of voices and styles within the project. A distinctive feature of each anthology issue is a blank page at the end, allowing each poet to invite a friend or co-author to leave a poetic message, further expanding the conversation and interactive nature of the project.

The Biographical Milestone: Indicador Biográfica ComPar-Poesia

Upon completing the five-year cycle, the project will publish a book titled Indicador Biográfica ComPar-Poesia. This volume will contain biographies and photographs of each participant, serving as a lasting tribute to the impact of the project and the diversity of its contributors. The book will be a testament to the power of poetry to bring people together and inspire future generations.

ComPar-Poesia’s 12th Anniversary and Global Celebration

The launch of the first semiannual anthology issue is timed to celebrate the project's twelfth anniversary on September 2, 2024. This momentous occasion will feature a dual launch: an in-person event in Brazil and a virtual celebration abroad through Facebook. To make the project sustainable, international participants will receive two copies of each issue—one for personal use and another for sale among friends, with proceeds reinvested to support the project.

A Lasting Legacy of Poetry, Unity, and Peace

ComPar-Poesia is much more than a literary project; it is a **global movement for cultural and literary solidarity**. Through its inclusive structure, this initiative fosters cross-cultural connections and celebrates diversity while promoting loyalty and peace among nations. As it continues to grow and evolve, ComPar-Poesia is set to leave a lasting impact on the world of poetry and inspire countless poets worldwide.

About the Project's Founder

Mário Belolli, the project's manager, envisioned ComPar-Poesia as a dynamic and meaningful space where poetry could thrive and connect people across borders. His dedication and passion for the project have cultivated a nurturing community of poets, creating a platform that reflects the beauty and power of poetic expression.

ComPar-Poesia has positioned itself as a beacon of contemporary poetic culture, emphasizing that poetry is a universal bond that transcends borders, languages, and backgrounds. Through the project, Mário Belolli and the countless poets involved are building a legacy that celebrates creativity, expression, and above all, human connection.
